Team spirit will be crucial - Jonathan Greening
JONATHAN Greening believes Albion's tried and tested methods will give them a great chance of Premier League survival.
The Baggies kick-off their top flight campaign at the Emirates on Saturday.
Tony Mowbray's side earned themselves a reputation for free-flowing football and were noted for their excellent team spirit last season, mainly thanks to the previous summer's cull.
Greening feels those traits will be imperative again.
The Albion captain was part of the Great Escape side three years ago and believes they have the required attributes to do so again, preferably without the need for any last day dramas.
"There are quite a few things you need to survive," Greening told the Birmingham Mail. "You need the element of luck in certain games and you need to have a great team spirit, which we have.
"Even last year people could see what a great team spirit we had when we celebrated goals.
"And the way the gaffer likes to play will suit the Premier League more than the Championship.
"The main thing for us is to work hard in training and keep the team spirit that we had last season.
"That will go a long way this year to helping us do really well in the league and hopefully do what Reading did when they went up," he added.
"If we can carry on like we did last year and gel as quickly as possible we have every chance of having a successful season."
